I gaze patiently into a sea of stars.
Drawing back from childhood fantasies, of living life on Mars.
From the corner of my eye, I saw a stream of hate.
And from the sea, it wasn't there anymore.
I felt your presence coming back.

Until we see a shadow casting on us once again.

The light reaches the rim of a dieing heart,
From a star, burnt out so long ago, or from a child at birth.
From the corner of my eye, the world closing fast.
