Album: Crimes & Consequences

I'm looking around at the crime in our city. And people are asking, "When's it gon' end?" You know, but, I come at it from a different angle. I'm like, "Where does it begin?" 'Cause I think we got a problem pleasing the Lord. That's the beginning of our cover right there, look I don't rep your city, or my city. I only represent the Lord God who gets busy in the air waves. Its fair game for his air campaign. If you know him I know you're tired of what their band's playing. But don't worry every contradictory time Dick and Harry's gonna have his day in court. In short, what I'm saying is, the way it is now ain't the way it's gonna stay. In thought, word or deed if you thought you worked against what he decreed. If you sought and searched for sin and then pleased you before you pleased him, then please take heed. Judgments coming at a breakneck speed. The judge, cloaked in a black robe. My fault, that's not a robe he's wrapped in, that's smoke. That's so gangster, God's so just in all his judgments that when he judges those he judges, they'll say 'thank you'. Like, it was such a joy to see righteousness work well. And I can see now how in his sight I deserved hell. Buts that's the last pleasure that the wicked will have. Right before they get to witness God's ridiculous wrath. Count 'em!

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one ways to please the Lord. Is he pleased, or is he grieved. You know we need to please the Lord. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one ways to please the Lord. Not just do's and do nots fam, we're rocking with the Lord's Top Ten.

This life can leave you feeling boxed in. Looking for ways out, so let's weigh out your options. 'Cause there aint nothing wrong with options, but its odd when not one out of your top ten is not sin. You'll spend your whole life playing out of bounds strictly. Now I'm 'bout the Name and you should count 'em down with me. What could number ten be? It's a four letter word that begins with an 'e' â€" envy. This is the lack of gratitude for what you have coz you don't have what he has so now you're mad at dude. Number nine is lying, telling them tall tales, or selling them false details hoping they buy in. Buying yourself time, or buying yourself shine. Flying on stealth but lying on self is the problem itself. You failed another test of the will. We'll be back with more, but first we gotta pay these bills!

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one ways to please the Lord. Is he pleased, or is he grieved. You know we need to please the Lord. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one ways to please the Lord. Not just do's and do nots man, we're rocking with the Lord's Top Ten.

Just before the break, we were just before the Eight. (What's Eight?) Taking what's not yours or breaking in safes, picking in locked drawers. Or kicking in locked doors, Sticking up hot boards. Cheating on taxes, just to get a lot more. Number seven, is getting into bed with anyone that never said 'I do' at your wedding. Six is laying cats six feet deep. Or sending peeps to go me the grim reaper. Number five will determine how long you stay alive. Its tied to how you honor your pops and your moms. Four is one I'm sure you wouldn't guess. It's trusting the Lord to provide for your needs while you enjoy your stress. Coming in at number three, is what could be seen as worship. Don't go attaching God's name to things that don't deserve it. And number two is taking the stuff that God made and making it your God, like it could take his job. And number one is keeping God number one. And not placing any idea above or in front of him. And the number one reason why number one is number one is you have to break this one to break any of the other ones.
