Help People In Need By Supporting The American Red Cross During Red Cross Month
The American Red Cross
During Red Cross Month this March, the American Red Cross is asking everyone to help people in need by supporting the lifesaving services it provides. Make a donation, becoming a volunteer, take a class, or give blood. Giving blood is a priceless way to help those in our community. Hospitals in the Southern Blood Services Region use more blood than is collected. More than 1,200 donations are needed each weekday to meet the needs of patients in these hospitals. While 38 percent of the population is eligible to give blood, only a fraction of those eligible actually donate. The blood donation process only takes about one hour of time to help save as many as three lives. . To schedule an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
