I'm left behind
But it's not the first time
It comes as no surprise
That you only turn your eyes

I guess I don't fit in
Coming from the place that I've been
I don't think it's too much to ask
That you give me one small glance

With lowly sinners Jesus spent most of His time (Mark 2:15)
He could've only laid His hands on the righteous ones, but why?

God knows you'd like to do your part in the greater plan
There's no better place to start, just reach out your hand
Don't hesitate to be a friend to those less fine (James 2:1-4)
You can be the one that waits, when I'm left behind

In each and every flock
There's a sheep that wanders far off
When will you leave the ninety-nine (Luke 15:3-7)
And befriend this heart of mine?

To make a difference takes some effort and love
But with the Lord's help we'll have more than enough

Remember what our Savior said
I was hungry and you gave bread (Matt. 25:35)
For when you feed the least of these
You have done it unto me (Matt. 25:40)
