The Israelites were bitten by fiery serpents (Num. 21:6, 9)
Just as Moses lifted up a bronze serpent

In the wilderness, so must the
Son of Man be lifted up so whoever looks
On Him may not die but live (John 3:14-16)

For a righteous man one would scarcely die
And for someone good one might give his life
But God shows His love for all of us
While we were in sin, Christ died for us (Rom. 5:6-8)
Died for us
