As I look back upon the years
Re-laugh my laughs, re-cry my tears
I always come to the same place
The stillness of my Jesus' face

The night's rich sounds, a symphony
The breaking dawn, true poetry
The whole of nature speaks to this
The hand of God here in my midst

Though circumstance I stumble through
And pride obscures a better view
My Jesus waits for me to come
And wrap myself up in His arms
