A Mother's Love

Tearfully, she walked up Calvary;
Heart breaking, knowing
Her Son's sacrifice had to be.
It was God the Father's plan;
He would die for the sins of man.
As she knelt at the foot of the cross,
She wept … for a mother's loss.

She prayed He would be set free,
Knowing this was not meant to be.
When Jesus was mocked, beaten, crucified,
With a mother's love, softly, tenderly, Mary cried.

Think of all that mother's heart endured;
To see her precious son lay down his life,
Salvation to ensure for all who truly believe.
Eternal life they will receive.
A future beyond the grave;
That's what Mary's Son, Jesus gave!

She prayed He would be set free;
Knowing this was not meant to be.
When Jesus was mocked, beaten, crucified,
With a mother's love, softly, tenderly Mary cried.

And though, she knew this was not the end;
In just three days He'd rise and live again…
