Album: The Well's Deception - Single
Mich: Brother, I hope that he's okay. With Sigurd gone, he's going crazy.
Magnus: The man we lost was a brother of my soul. Now that he's not here, I want to
turn back home.
Mich: What do you mean? We've traveled so far. We have to be close! Stay on
guard.
Magnus: I know you're right. I need to narrow my sight. Mourn in the end, his death
could cause us plight.
Mich: Travel on to the end of the earth. We slow down, everything hurts.
Magnus: I think I see...
Mich: A glimmer of lighting.
Magnus: A trick with my eyes.
Mich: It's pure beauty.
Magnus: The doorway is bright.
Mich: See this has to be the end. The shimmer of light is guided by a hedge.
Magnus: Is this the portal to another realm?
Mich: I know it has to be, but what's that foul smell?
Mich: We hurry to the big opening to
get to the portal for treasure we seek.
Magnus: Something I sense... this isn't right.
Mich: A flap of the wind--this is our final blight!
Magnus: Fire! Run to safety! A dragon appears, ready to feed!
Mich: Bows come out; a volley is tossed, but they bounce off the creature.
Both: Run!
Mich: A shimmer of light blasts through the wall, scatter our men and making us
fall. Weapons drawn!
Magnus: Arrows and bows!
Mich: Run for more cover! Archers, let go!
Magnus: This is a creature that died long ago!
Mich: I thought it was a legend.
Magnus: Extinct, I've been told.
Mich: What is our plan?
Magnus: Sigurd would know.
Mich: He's not here to help! A bolt flies with a flame that doesn't burn.
Massive wings carry the dragon at staggering speeds. Light shines from behind its oily black
scales. Fire floods from its maw, engulfing the surrounding trees.
Magnus: What now? No cover!
Mich: Did you feel the pain?
Magnus: We dodged the flame!
Mich: Not all the way! Shouldn't we have at least felt the heat?
Magnus: Would you rather be burning alive with the trees?
Mich: Not the point! Something is wrong!
Magnus: I feel Sigurd.
Mich: He is long gone. We need to focus if we will survive. Kill this beast; his belly is
his fault!
Mich: Charging towards the landing dragon, biting at arrows blocking them with its wings.
Magnus: Distract him with bows. I can sneak around. Try not to hit me!
Mich: You can't go alone!
Magnus: You men, come follow me close! Brother, you're the best archer Odin knows!
Mich: He runs from me to the flank! The dragon roars.
Magnus: Brother, be safe!
Mich: He screams as a flame comes towards me. I do not dodge, to test my theory.
If I'm wrong, I will die, but I feel no pain, our horses survive.
The trees around us are burning. Is this a test? Supposed to deter me?
This is no danger like it seems, but it's blocking the portal. We need to kill this beast.
Choir: Drache gef hrlich, frisst dich
auf, gro e Krallen, gro e Z hne. Drache
harmlos, au er Pflanzen, feur brennen Mensch.
Magnus: What is happening? Do my eyes deceive? My brother's running to meet the
beast. I see a flame, but my brother survives, knocking an arrow in plain sight.
Mich: Take a deep breath as I let the arrow fly. The flame can't hurt me--I don't
know why. The arrow is absorbed in its flesh; it goes to the ground in a fiery mess.
Mich: Run to the door!
Magnus: Before it burns!
Mich: Almost through the portal! The creature explodes. Our men are safe, but
what was that god?
