Grandma's front porch was a special place
cause' that's where I first heard of God's amazing grace
With a voice sweet and clear
She would sing so I could hear
The words of God my grandma loved so dear

I remember well the summertime
Gospel music echoed long into the night
And at the end of the day
I'd listen while she'd sing
With that old brush arbor meeting up the way

And she'd sing "Victory in Jesus"
And "I saw the Light"
"Just a little talk with Jesus" makes things right
and in my mind still lingers those precious memories
Of Grandma singing her treasured melodies
Oh how I felt the presence of the Lord
On Grandma's front porch.

Many years have passed, oh but I've been blessed
For the moments spent with Grandma in that place of rest
For her songs paved the way
For my life long walk of faith
and something in my heart forever changed

When she'd sing "Victory in Jesus"
and "I saw the light"
"Just a little talk with Jesus" makes things right
In my mind still lingers those precious memories
Of Grandma singing her treasured melodies
oh how I felt the presence of the Lord
On Grandma's front porch

Now the old porch is gone
and my Grandma has moved on
She's living in her heavenly home
but those songs still echo in my soul today
and I know Gods love is shining on her face
