Darrell Luster was born December 10, 1963 in Durham, North Carolina, the youngest of 15 children. At the age of 12, Darrell was blessed with the talent of singing and playing the guitar. He, along with five of his brothers, formed the gospel group “The Luster Brothers.” In the early 1980's, Darrell began playing guitar and singing professionally with the Sensational Nightingales, filling in for one of the group's members who was ill.
