I'm a born and raised Texan (and yes, the Texas pride runs deep). As a kid, I was absolutely terrified to sing in front of anyone, including my family. I always loved music, but was way too shy to ever think I could share a song in public. By the time I got to middle school, I began writing songs as a natural way of processing life. I knew even then that I needed to write songs about Jesus and continued to do so as a private worship time throughout college.
