Awake! Awake! began in the spring of 2007 with five college friends in Murfreesboro, TN joining forces to craft a handful of indie rock songs. David Johnson and Andrew Goodwin, the primary songsmiths from the start, quickly realized they had a strong chemistry; Andrew created rich soundscapes and driving rock riffs while David followed with fully fleshed-out lyrics and melodies.
