I tucked her into bed
And kissed her goodnight
And as I turned to leave
She said, "Daddy

There's one more boo to read"

My will got weak
As I kept reading her stories
Reading them all over again
At times I lost my patience
Hearing "One more time"

Till she said, "One more time
Tell me more of Jesus

I want to know Him better

I put her on my shoulders for a ride
And as I let her down
She said, "Please, daddy, I'm not finished yet
One more time, walk me around"

I thought to myself
Will she ever be happy
No matter how hard I'm trying?
I wished I never had
To hear those words, "One more time"

Till she said
"Please, daddy, one more time!"
"Tell me more of Jesus
In this heart of mine"
And she said
"One more time, daddy
Please, one more time!"
"I want to know Him better
'Cause I want Him in mine"

I'll never forget
When she said
"Just one more time, please!"
