We slowly walk into the dark.

Clinging to a past of what if's and settlements of stone. Placing brick upon broken brick till we reach the point of finally building something we can call a home.

Leaning in closely to finally hear all the meaningless little mutterings of who I think I should be. I'm leaving every last bit of the man I hate at the door, finally filling the dirt and laying the daisies at his grave.

A lie is a lie, no matter how hard I try to connive and hide the underlining falsehood of this world's looming nature through its sadistic eyes.

I've been begging for release from.

Oh sweet freedom it has a name, drug addiction, lust and shame nailed upon a King to finally take away every single last bit of condemnation settling upon my name.

Wash these hands clean, remove the crimson stains off of my white washed tomb, this is where my identity remains. Search deep inside, see what hides from the nurturing light of your Holy love, and remove every evil seed of its existence from me. I once was blinded by the shroud that I allowed that I thought somehow would bring meaning to a life that was eagerly waiting for something to satisfy the God size hole that this world left deep inside. The night I abandoned all hope for my selfish ambitions. Which has brought me here to the edge of my own self destruction, and that is why I color myself a coward.
