Album: Cremationem Jesus Lacrimam
(Gen 1:1-4; John 6:35; Matthew 6:11)
Let there be light! And God said, "Let there be light...”,
but she still sits alone in the dark.
Can you hear the words between her tears?
The ash that stains her rosy cheeks,
left behind from a soul that speaks of calamity and lies,
abuse and unheard cries;
she can hear the sound of angels dying.
And she's choking on neglect,
Satan's vow it resonates.
Her light will fade, her faith will fray.
Rejection has become the air she breathes.
A loving hand is all that she needs
Her broken mirror speaks the truth,
slitting her wrists with both hands tied.
She seeks Your bread so divine to soak up venom of a Godless time.
She closes her eyes hoping
that she won't wake up the next day so far away from home.
Comfort her O Lord, we pray...No one should ever die alone.
The ash that bleeds from her broken heart,
left behind from a soul torn apart.
Tonight her demons feed, in fading light the angels weep.
She can hear the melody so ill-divine.
And she's choking on regret,
whispered wrath illuminates.
Her darkness calls, her hope will fall.
Condemnation has become the air she breathes.
Hope turns to dust. Our Lord is still weeping.
Faith turns to ash.
The world is still sleeping.
Our God-damned enemy shall bestow the hands on her demise.
Her first smile in years came the day that she said her goodbyes
the day her bloody wrist bled out all the lies,
the day her blackened heart bled through her eyes.
The ash that stains her rosy cheeks on a lifeless body from a soul too weak,
her final tear begins to scream, “Where is the light?”
