Album: It Has Begun
He has endured much suffering in the deep of winter
Instead of merriment he knows nothing but cold and hunger
City dwellers will never know the pain he feels
Snow and hail fall as his suffering increases
A troubled spirit adrift in a vicious sea
Seeking a new homeland, searching for the light
The seafarer takes a journey into his soul
Where profound truth is revealed
Not even the smell of spring can lift his soul
It makes him feel the desire to roam
His heart his heavy, his spirit weak
Faces the world still unsatisfied
Understands the riches of this world don't last
He knows that once we die we leave our things behind
Only those still alive remember the dead
He feels we should fight the devil and be brave in life
Powerful civilisations have fallen, thus knows the man
The riches of the world have no future, glory has faded
The sinful person cannot take his gold with him
So he considers riches are no comfort to any man
The man knows we must fear God and only him
He knows we must live to be humble and fair
To live this life with heaven in our sight
So on our own road we all can relate
To the seafarer who learned a lesson
About the nature of life and his quest
To seek out God with humility
He found his purpose
He found his call
So go out friends and give it your best
There is no future in riches and gold
Be content to live a life of charity
And be thankful for all we have received
