Noah

Album: Spicy Camels & Jim Bailey Silly Songs

There was a man Noah was his name
working in his barn one day
He was giving it stick, well he was shifting it,
with a hammer and a chisel and a plane.
Well he was old 800 years I'm told
when somebody told him what to do
A voice in his head said' Noah',
'What'..guess who's gonna build us a zoo?

Oh no,no,no. Oh yes,yes,yes
Oh no,no,no. Oh yes,yes,yes
Oh no,no,no. Oh yes,yes,yes
Well perhaps

Well Noah went mad building this ark,
it was too big to hide,
He showed it to his mate
'coz he thought it rather great
He said can you get it out of my drive'?
Well Noah said 'look her son,
mock me if you oughta
But I'll give you a clue as to what this is,
How long can you tread water

Now Noah said 'look here Lord,
this is what I'll do,
I'll get a monkey, a goat and a horse,
and a hippy-hop kangaroo.
I'll get two ants, two birds and two bees and I'll stuff them in the ark
I'll even search all over the world for two long-nosed bald aardvarks!

There was something wrong
there was hell of a pong
It was making all the people shout 'NO'
Noah and his wife swore it wasn't them
must have been the beasts below
They could hear naught
not a neigh or a snort
Just a funny low-pitched note
And that's hoe come the ark became
the worlds first methane powered boat
