not gifted, not so wise.
What was it that they saw in Him
that caused them to obey.
Was it something in His eyes,
or something they heard Him say.
He offered them not crowns and thrones,
but a calling and a cross.
And the strange exchange of eternal life
for the lives that they had lost.
So they left behind a world they knew
for a kingdom they'd never seen,
and changed the world forever
just by following.

who have felt His grace and mercy
