It must be such a privilege to have me doing this for you

But there's an aching in my heart
When I take the time to pray
Maybe this is not the way to start?

Your will be done on Earth as in Heaven
Your kingdom come.

So I will think again about what you want from me
I will try to go your way, I'll try to live life differently
Sometimes it's hard to know what's right
And what you're asking me to do
So guide me, show me, teach me how to live my life for you

I will ask for what I want and I will make the time to pray
But God, if you want something else, give me the strength to say;


And I read about a man who got down on his face to pray
He said: "Father I don't want cup. Does it have to be this way?"
He could have run, he could have fled, said "I won't do this any more"
But he turned around instead, said "Father, not my will, but yours."
