The cross defies the logic
And the intellect of man
A stumbling block and offense to those
Who reject redemption's plan
It's the power of the Gospel
The essence of our cause
So, I ask the question
What happened to the cross?

The cross is the lighthouse
For the lost at sea
The tower of hope for every refugee
The altar of atonement
Where the Lamb was sacrificed
The bridge from earth to heaven
It's the door to God through Christ
Through Christ

That's what happened to the cross
It's not forgotten on that hill
