For Crying Out Loud
by Michael Roe

Album: It's For You

When it all comes down and it all falls apart,
And there's no way to win, and you're left with a broken heart,
And you can't look down 'cause it's too far to fall,
And you can't look forward to nothing, except looking back upon it all.

Look up and cry out,
Don't be afraid to scream, don't be afraid to shout,
Look up, for crying out loud,
You've both been waiting for this day for a long time now,
Long time now.

When you can't stand up, and you can't sit still,
And you can't get through the night without a sleeping pill,
The days drag out and the nights never end,
And you're tired of talking it out on the phone with all your friends.

Look up and cry out,
Don't be afraid to rage, don't be afraid to shout,
Look up, for crying out loud,
You've both been waiting for this day for a long time now,
Look up, cry out,
Don't be afraid to scream, you gotta let it all come out,
Look up, for crying out loud, yeah,
You both been waiting for this day for a long time now,
Long time now, long time now.

Yeah,
Whoa,
Yeah,
Yeah,
Long time now.

(Thankyou. Okay that's...I'm overwhelmed now)

(Oh, my gosh, this...this feel like that day...you remember the song "Dunce Cap" by Lost Dogs? Beautiful number. They didn't give me writing credit, and I wrote part of it...but I'm not gonna get into that. What I want to say is that this feels like the day I had to wear a dunce cap, that's where we got the title of the song. Believe it or not, I was made to wear a dunce cap in the second grade. The teacher put me in front on the class, in the corner, shaped a huge witch's cone out of you know construction...purple construction paper - I remember it. Painted a big "D" on it, and then proceeded to tell me that not only did I have to wear it in front of the class, but it was school pictures day...and that my parents would be the proud recipients of their son in a dunce cap, so that they could see how bad I was. Well, it left a mental scar, and what you see today is the product. People are relentless; I was telling them one of the most traumatic experiences of my life...you know it's like I've never been the same, and they want to hear the...they want to hear that song. It's just like that woman on the "Echoes Of Faith" record that wouldn't stop. We had her carried out and bound. I'm sorry, I lost my head. I'm in the wrong key? Okay, I got to get my rock and roll echo sound for that. I don't know how to do this. There we go.)
