Album: Don't Look Back
Thought I could make it on my own
Envisioned hands around the wheel
While I was fast asleep in my bed
Driving a steady course right off the road
Went looking for excitement maybe adventure
Not sure what I was really searching for
Took a wrong turn, detoured into this forest
Now all the trees look the same, can't find my way back out again
I ran into the forest blackness
Lost myself inside this wilderness
Now I'm fighting through the trees and branches
Leaving scratches on my face it's
Bleeding
Should have learned my lesson well
From all those childhood stories I was told
Should have brought myself a bag of bread
So I could leave a trail, and find my way back out again
I ran into the forest blackness
Lost myself inside this wilderness
Now I'm fighting through the trees and branches
Leaving scratches on my face it's
Bleeding down, can't you see the ground
It's stained red round my feet in places
Thought I'd forge ahead, blaze a trail out
But I keep coming round in circles
Back to this one tree
Take me to the Tree
I've lost my way
I can't see, can't see
I need You to find me
Well like Hansel and Gretel
Scraps from the Master's table
Have fallen down and left me a trail
Bread of life, lead me back to Your side
If you can't see the tree for the forest
Please heed my words don't ignore them
